Today marked the start of Singapore Arts Festival. One of the first free performances required a lot of imagination. Why? It involved centaurs. Yes, you read that right. Dressed in black, the two protagonists blended into their black bottoms (i.e. the horses). It amazed me how coordinated the actors were with the beautiful creatures. Two separate beings acted as one on instincts, leaving any forms of communication imperceptible by the audience.
The second performance of the night that I caught was titled “Dreams of Dragons” by Starlight Alchemy. One part of the performance heavily used props that glowed in the dark. The performance was part of Flipside, a fringe festival held in conjunction of Singapore Arts Festival.
