Day 47: Christmas Mannequins

The festive season is a perfect excuse for stores to go all out on their window displays. Admittedly, the standard in Singapore does not match to New York’s or London’s. Nevertheless, TANGS Orchard had done a pretty good job with their displays this year! With bold colors and playful set design, the displays succeed in evoking a sense of fantasy.

You wouldn’t want butterflies to invade your head in real life, right?

Day 44: Merry Christmas!

No fancy lighted shenanigans from me. Just a humble Lego Christmas tree donated by a colleague!

I hope I’ll find a way to do justice to Orchard Road’s fancy decorations this week, regardless of how cliché they appear to be.

Day 28: Rainbow In Christmas

It’s November only, but Christmas decorations are already up with a big bang in Singapore’s main shopping area, Orchard Road. Since it’s summer all year long in Singapore, Christmas has always been a tropical affair here.

Honestly, I find these decorations very cliché. But, I’m in the minority, I guess, because the Christmas light-up never fails to attract visitors from across the Asian region. It gets especially crowded here on the last week of December in the lead-up to New Year. That makes a perfect excuse to escape Singapore!
